Our lab's research is focused on modeling of biological
systems and biomolecular engineering for pharmaceutical and biomedical
applications. By integrating our knowledge in chemistry, physics, biology and
computer science, we study the fundamental molecular driving forces in
chemistry and biology, such as molecular recognition and protein
structure-function relationship. With accurate in silico prediction of molecular
behavior, we seek to engineer novel molecules, from small-molecule drugs to
protein mimetics, and to nanomaterials,
with controlled structure and function for biomedical applications.
Postdoc
position: talented individuals with expertise in molecular
mechanics force field and/or continuum solvation model development are welcome
to contact us.
Undergrad
research position: We welcome qualified students who are
interested in serious research on modeling and simulations. The students in the
lab are involved in a broad range of research activities from drug discovery to
protein and materials modeling, and to software development.
